Governor's Room in the Florence Building

We offer exclusive access to the elegant Governor’s Room in The Florence Building in downtown Missoula at the corner of South Higgins and Front Street. The room accommodates a seated dinner for up to 200 and cocktail parties of up to 240 guests.  Rental of the room includes use of the ample coat room, the Balcony overlooking the beautiful Art Deco Lobby, and the Mezzanine.

The Governor’s Room features vintage parquet floors, elegant pale yellow walls, a lovely mantelpiece over the faux fireplace, and a stage. The Governor’s Room is a unique venue, fully accessible, perfectly appointed, all inclusive.

All room rentals include up to 25 72″ round tables and padded black chairs; standard white square tablecloths, banquet tables; set up and clean up. Limited AV equipment (collapsible screen and cordless microphones) and house decorations (square mirrors, globe vases, flameless tealights) are available upon arrangement.The Governor’s Room can be viewed by appointment only simply by calling Denis at (406) 926.1750 or filling out the contact form on this website.

The Catalyst Caters is the exclusive caterer for the room.  We do not allow clients to bring in outside food or beverages.  A third party Liquor Caterer is require for alcohol service.

 

Holding an event in the Governor’s Room?  Your bill will consist of three charges:

  • Room Rental: Room Rental cost is based on number of guests and length of time.
    as an example: Room Rental for 100 guests for 4 hours $400.00
    -Room rental costs include set up, break down, clean-up of Governor’s Room, Balcony, Mezzanine and all event spaces.
    -Room rental includes extra time if needed for set up and break down.
    -Room rental includes: tables, linens, chairs.
    -Room has two cordless microphones and a projection screen for clients’ use.
  • Menu Costs:
    -this is based on a per person price
    -menu costs include water service
    -menu costs include coffee/tea service
    -menu costs include appropriate number of servers for size of event, plates, glassware, flatware, linen napkins, all food, and my consultation.
  • Service Charge:
    A service charge of 20% is added. This percentage is based only on menu costs and is passed on directly to all kitchen and floor staff involved in the event.
